Code Enforcement and Rental Housing Inspector

Plymouth Township is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as its Code Enforcement and Rental Housing Inspector. Located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, Plymouth Township is a vibrant and diverse community of approximately 19,000 residents that
combines established neighborhoods, thriving commercial corridors, and ongoing economic development. The Township is committed to providing high-quality municipal services and maintaining safe, attractive, and well-maintained neighborhoods.

This full-time position is responsible for administering and enforcing Township rental housing, property maintenance, nuisance, zoning, and related municipal codes through inspections, investigations, documentation, and enforcement actions. The successful candidate will conduct rental licensing inspections, investigate complaints, issue notices of violation and citations, maintain inspection and licensing records, prepare reports, and work with residents, property owners, contractors, and Township staƯ to achieve compliance with applicable regulations.

Candidates should possess strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to interpret and apply municipal ordinances, and a commitment to professional customer service. A valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License is required. ICC Property Maintenance and
Housing Inspector certification is required within one year of employment.

The organization was formed at an Association Convention held in New Hanover Township on February 24, 1977.
