Funding Opportunities:

Community Facilities Loans & Grants: The U.S. Department of Agriculture is offering funding for essential community facilities in rural townships (populations under 20,000). This includes public facilities, community support services, and public safety services. Learn more

Educational Opportunities:

Learn Township Emergency Management 101 (March 19th): This virtual class covers the fundamentals of emergency management for townships, including the role of the Emergency Management Coordinator (EMC) and how to prepare for various emergencies. Learn more

Current Issues in Municipal Police Department Management (April 14th): This course explores key topics like regional police departments, police management studies, and department policies. Learn more

2024 Township Emergency Management Spring Seminar (April 14th): This interactive session features presentations from local and state emergency management personnel, with a focus on developing effective emergency operation programs.

The organization was formed at an Association Convention held in New Hanover Township on February 24, 1977.
