November 1, 2025 by mcatoorgstg

Here’s a roundup of the latest news and resources for Pennsylvania townships and boroughs:

Grants and Funding

  • ARP Closeout Report Is Coming: Make Sure Your Township is Ready!: The U.S. Treasury is inviting certain recipients of American Rescue Plan (SLFRF) funds to close out early, and townships should verify that funds are fully expended, “NEU Agreements” are submitted, contact information is updated, and SAM.gov registration remains active to ensure a smooth closeout process (https://www.psats.org/arp-closeout-report-is-coming-make-sure-your-township-is-ready/).
  • Has Your Township Received PENNVEST Funding?: Townships that have utilized Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) funding are encouraged to share their project success stories with the Township News by October 31st to be featured in an upcoming article (https://www.psats.org/has-your-township-received-pennvest-funding/).

Other Updates

  • Celebrate Your Township’s Youth!: Townships can recognize local youth groups, such as 4-H clubs or Scout troops, that have made valuable contributions to the community by nominating them for the PSATS Youth Awards; the deadline for entries is December 31 (https://www.psats.org/celebrate-your-townships-youth-2/).
  • Reminder: Is Your Township Ready to Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday?: With the 250th anniversary of the U.S. in July 2026 quickly approaching, townships are reminded to adopt a resolution and plan events to highlight their local history and Revolutionary roots (https://www.psats.org/reminder-is-your-township-ready-to-celebrate-americas-250th-birthday/).

We hope this update provides valuable information for Montgomery County townships. Please check the PSATS website for more news and resources.
